SYNOPSIS
Blanca is an English language, action-adventure thriller based on historical events and real people: the director’s grandmother and her employee during a Peruvian coup in 1968.
As comical as it is dramatic, the edge-of-your-seat adventure thrusts two women from opposite extremes of society and country into a forced partnership for their own survival.
Riding a presidential car neither can drive, their chauffeur bleeding out while Blanca is in active labor, the women must overcome mountain terrain, personal hatred, and deep social prejudices to remain ahead of an army hungry for revenge…

SCRIPT REVIEWS
Screenwriting involves reviews from professional script readers. These independent readers provide revision notes and an overall script rating, which helps producers quickly determine quality: 95% of scripts get a “Pass” rating, which means the script is simply no good; less than 5% of scripts get a "Consider” rating, meaning it needs a few tweaks but is in otherwise good shape; and only 1% get a “Recommend” rating, which means the script is in excellent shape, ready for production.
Blanca has coverage from seven readers. ALL SEVEN gave Blanca a “Recommend” or “Consider” - the highest ratings reserved for less than 5% of screenplays. Request a copy of the coverage.
Excerpts:
Blanca is an ingenious high-octane drama... a ‘contained’ thriller – a much-prized paradigm in Hollywood, involving well-scripted scenarios with minimal locations, limited cast members, [and] intense drama…
Blanca has great visual potential and should prove an attractive acting vehicle.
An impressive piece of writing, an authentic-feeling story that defies expectations. It is an imaginative thriller, an emotional family story [that] would make a thrilling film.
CARLOS & BLANCA OVER A LIFETIME
Meet BLANCA
Interviews by Carlos, the foundation of the screenplay
from Carlos
I think this is a beautiful project in which to invest my life. Blanca is fictionalized but based on the real story and relationship of two extraordinary characters: my grandmother and her employee, Blanca.
As of April 2026, we are in the post-production stage: editing, score creation, sound mix, color grading, and more. We are seeking completion funding for that stage.
Blanca is a fully independent production (no studio backing) and I am seeking donors or investors to complete the full feature. As a patron of the arts, this is a gorgeous, festival-caliber original story for the ages. As an investor, the film aims to ensure an ample, global audience and return—request my business plan.
If you could connect me to a donor, investor, or employer to finance this vision, I would be extremely grateful.
Thank you!
